The Death of Moses
1And Moseswent upfrom the plainsof Moabunto the mountainof Nebo,to the topof Pisgah,that [is] over againstJericho.And the LORDshewedhim all the landof Gilead,unto Dan,2And all Naphtali,and the landof Ephraim,and Manasseh,and all the landof Judah,unto the utmostsea,3And the south,and the plainof the valleyof Jericho,the cityof palm trees,unto Zoar.4And the LORDsaidunto him, This [is] the landwhich I swareunto Abraham,unto Isaac,and unto Jacob,saying,I will giveit unto thy seed:I have caused thee to see[it] with thine eyes,but thou shalt not go overthither.5So Mosesthe servantof the LORDdiedthere in the landof Moab,according to the wordof the LORD.6And he buriedhim in a valleyin the landof Moab,over againstBethpeor:but no manknowethof his sepulchreunto this day.7And Moses[was] an hundredand twentyyearsoldwhen he died:his eyewas not dim,nor his natural forceabated.8And the childrenof Israelweptfor Mosesin the plainsof Moabthirtydays:so the daysof weeping[and] mourningfor Moseswere ended.
9And Joshuathe sonof Nunwas fullof the spiritof wisdom;for Moseshad laidhis handsupon him: and the childrenof Israelhearkenedunto him, and didas the LORDcommandedMoses.10And there arosenot a prophetsincein Israellike unto Moses,whom the LORDknewfaceto face,11In all the signsand the wonders,which the LORDsenthim to doin the landof Egyptto Pharaoh,and to all his servants,and to all his land,12And in all that mightyhand,and in all the greatterrorwhich Mosesshewedin the sightof all Israel.
