Restoration Promised

1And it shall come to pass, when all these thingsare comeupon thee, the blessingand the curse,which I have setbeforethee, and thou shalt call[them] to mindamong all the nations,whither the LORDthy Godhath driventhee,2And shalt returnunto the LORDthy God,and shalt obeyhis voiceaccording to all that I commandthee this day,thou and thy children,with all thine heart,and with all thy soul;3That then the LORDthy Godwill turnthy captivity,and have compassionupon thee, and will returnand gatherthee from all the nations,whither the LORDthy Godhath scatteredthee.4If [any] of thine be driven outunto the outmost[parts] of heaven,from thence will the LORDthy Godgatherthee, and from thence will he fetchthee:5And the LORDthy Godwill bringthee into the landwhich thy fatherspossessed,and thou shalt possessit; and he will do thee good,and multiplythee above thy fathers.

6And the LORDthy Godwill circumcisethine heart,and the heartof thy seed,to lovethe LORDthy Godwith all thine heart,and with all thy soul,that thou mayest live.7And the LORDthy Godwill putall these cursesupon thine enemies,and on them that hatethee, which persecutedthee.8And thou shalt returnand obeythe voiceof the LORD,and doall his commandmentswhich I commandthee this day.9And the LORDthy Godwill make thee plenteousin every workof thine hand,in the fruitof thy body,and in the fruitof thy cattle,and in the fruitof thy land,for good:for the LORDwill againrejoiceover thee for good,as he rejoicedover thy fathers:10If thou shalt hearkenunto the voiceof the LORDthy God,to keephis commandmentsand his statuteswhich are writtenin this bookof the law,[and] if thou turnunto the LORDthy Godwith all thine heart,and with all thy soul.

The Choice of Life or Death

11For this commandmentwhich I commandthee this day,it [is] not hiddenfrom thee, neither [is] it far off.12It [is] not in heaven,that thou shouldest say,Who shall go upfor us to heaven,and bringit unto us, that we may hearit, and doit?13Neither [is] it beyondthe sea,that thou shouldest say,Who shall gooverthe seafor us, and bringit unto us, that we may hearit, and doit?14But the word[is] verynighunto thee, in thy mouth,and in thy heart,that thou mayest doit.

15See,I have setbeforethee this daylifeand good,and deathand evil;16In that I commandthee this dayto lovethe LORDthy God,to walkin his ways,and to keephis commandmentsand his statutesand his judgments,that thou mayest liveand multiply:and the LORDthy Godshall blessthee in the landwhither thou goestto possessit.17But if thine heartturn away,so that thou wilt not hear,but shalt be drawn away,and worshipothergods,and servethem;18I denounceunto you this day,that ye shall surelyperish,[and that] ye shall not prolong[your] daysupon the land,whither thou passest overJordanto goto possessit.19I callheavenand earthto recordthis dayagainst you, [that] I have setbeforeyou lifeand death,blessingand cursing:therefore chooselife,that both thou and thy seedmay live:20That thou mayest lovethe LORDthy God,[and] that thou mayest obeyhis voice,and that thou mayest cleaveunto him: for he [is] thy life,and the lengthof thy days:that thou mayest dwellin the landwhich the LORDswareunto thy fathers,to Abraham,to Isaac,and to Jacob,to givethem.
