1Thou shalt not seethy brother'soxor his sheepgo astray,and hidethyself from them: thou shalt in any casebring them againunto thy brother.2And if thy brother[be] not nighunto thee, or if thou knowhim not, then thou shalt bringit untothine own house,and it shall be with thee until thy brotherseekafter it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.3In like mannershalt thou dowith his ass;and so shalt thou dowith his raiment;and with all lost thingof thy brother's,which he hath lost,and thou hast found,shalt thou dolikewise: thou mayestnot hidethyself.4Thou shalt not seethy brother'sassor his oxfall downby the way,and hidethyself from them: thou shalt surelyhelp him to lift [them] up again.
5The womanshall not wear that which pertainethunto a man,neither shall a manputon a woman'sgarment:for all that doso[are] abominationunto the LORDthy God.
6If a bird'snestchanceto be beforethee in the wayin any tree,or on the ground,[whether they be] young ones,or eggs,and the damsittingupon the young,or upon the eggs,thou shalt not takethe damwith the young:7[But] thou shalt in any wiselet the damgo,and takethe youngto thee; that it may be wellwith thee, and [that] thou mayest prolong[thy] days.
8When thou buildesta newhouse,then thou shalt makea battlementfor thy roof,that thou bringnot bloodupon thine house,if any manfallfrom thence.
9Thou shalt not sowthy vineyardwith divers seeds:lest the fruitof thy seedwhich thou hast sown,and the fruitof thy vineyard,be defiled.
10Thou shalt not plowwith an oxand an asstogether.
11Thou shalt not weara garment of divers sorts,[as] of woollenand linentogether.
12Thou shalt makethee fringesupon the fourquartersof thy vesture,wherewith thou coverest[thyself].
Marriage Violations
13If any mantakea wife,and go inunto her, and hateher,14And giveoccasionsof speechagainst her, and bring upan evilnameupon her, and say,I tookthis woman,and when I cameto her, I foundher not a maid:15Then shall the fatherof the damsel,and her mother,takeand bring forth[the tokens of] the damsel'svirginityunto the eldersof the cityin the gate:16And the damsel'sfathershall sayunto the elders,I gavemy daughterunto this manto wife,and he hatethher;17And, lo, he hath givenoccasionsof speech[against her], saying,I foundnot thy daughtera maid;and yet these [are the tokens of] my daughter'svirginity.And they shall spreadthe clothbeforethe eldersof the city.18And the eldersof that cityshall takethat manand chastisehim;19And they shall amercehim in an hundred[shekels] of silver,and give[them] unto the fatherof the damsel,because he hath brought upan evilnameupon a virginof Israel:and she shall be his wife;he maynot put her awayall his days.
20But if this thingbe TRUE,[and the tokens of] virginitybe not foundfor the damsel:21Then they shall bring outthe damselto the doorof her father'shouse,and the menof her cityshall stoneher with stonesthat she die:because she hath wroughtfollyin Israel,to play the whorein her father'shouse:so shalt thou putevilawayfrom amongyou.
22If a manbe foundlyingwith a womanmarriedto an husband,then they shall both of themdie,[both] the manthat laywith the woman,and the woman:so shalt thou put awayevilfrom Israel.
23If a damsel[that is] a virginbe betrothedunto an husband,and a manfindher in the city,and liewith her;24Then ye shall bringthem bothout unto the gateof that city,and ye shall stonethem with stonesthat they die;the damsel,becauseshe criednot, [being] in the city;and the man,becausehe hath humbledhis neighbour'swife:so thou shalt put awayevilfrom amongyou.
25But if a manfinda betrotheddamselin the field,and the manforceher, and liewith her: then the manonly that laywith her shall die:26But unto the damselthou shalt donothing;[there is] in the damselno sin[worthy] of death:for as when a manrisethagainst his neighbour,and slayeth{08676;05315> him, even so [is] this matter:27For he foundher in the field,[and] the betrotheddamselcried,and [there was] none to saveher.
28If a manfinda damsel[that is] a virgin,which is not betrothed,and lay holdon her, and liewith her, and they be found;29Then the manthat laywith her shall giveunto the damsel'sfatherfifty[shekels] of silver,and she shall be his wife;because he hath humbledher, he maynot put her awayall his days.
30A manshall not takehis father'swife,nor discoverhis father'sskirt.
