The Bronze Altar and Molten Sea

(1 Kings 7:13-22)

1Moreover he madean altarof brass,twentycubitsthe lengththereof, and twentycubitsthe breadththereof, and tencubitsthe heightthereof.2Also he madea moltenseaof tencubitsfrom brimto brim,roundin compass,and fivecubitsthe heightthereof; and a lineof thirtycubitsdid compassit round about.3And under it [was] the similitudeof oxen,which did compassit round about:tenin a cubit,compassingthe searound about.Tworowsof oxen[were] cast,when it was cast.4It stoodupon twelveoxen,threelookingtoward the north,and threelookingtoward the west,and threelookingtoward the south,and threelookingtoward the east:and the sea[was set] aboveupon them, and all their hinder parts[were] inward.5And the thicknessof it [was] an handbreadth,and the brimof it like the workof the brimof a cup,with flowersof lilies;[and] it receivedand heldthreethousandbaths.

The Ten Lavers, Candlesticks, and Tables

(1 Kings 7:38-39)

6He madealso tenlavers,and putfiveon the right hand,and fiveon the left,to washin them: such things as they offeredfor the burnt offeringthey washedin them; but the sea[was] for the prieststo wash in.

7And he madetencandlesticksof goldaccording to their form,and set[them] in the temple,fiveon the right hand,and fiveon the left.8He madealso tentables,and placed[them] in the temple,fiveon the right side,and fiveon the left.And he madean hundredbasonsof gold.

The Courts

9Furthermore he madethe courtof the priests,and the greatcourt,and doorsfor the court,and overlaidthe doorsof them with brass.10And he setthe seaon the rightsideof the east end,over againstthe south.

The Instruments of Brass

(1 Kings 7:40-51)

11And Hurammadethe pots,and the shovels,and the basons.And Huramfinishedthe workthat he was to makefor kingSolomonfor the houseof God;12[To wit], the twopillars,and the pommels,and the chapiters[which were] on the topof the two pillars,and the twowreathsto coverthe twopommelsof the chapiterswhich [were] on the topof the pillars;13And fourhundredpomegranateson the twowreaths;tworowsof pomegranateson eachwreath,to coverthe twopommelsof the chapiterswhich [were] uponthe pillars.14He madealso bases,and laversmadehe upon the bases;15Onesea,and twelveoxenunder it.16The potsalso, and the shovels,and the fleshhooks,and all their instruments,did Huramhis fathermaketo kingSolomonfor the houseof the LORDof brightbrass.17In the plainof Jordandid the kingcastthem, in the claygroundbetween Succothand Zeredathah.18Thus Solomonmadeall these vesselsin greatabundance:for the weightof the brasscould not be found out.

The Instruments of Gold

19And Solomonmadeall the vesselsthat [were for] the houseof God,the goldenaltaralso, and the tableswhereon the shewbread[was set];20Moreover the candlestickswith their lamps,that they should burnafter the mannerbeforethe oracle,of puregold;21And the flowers,and the lamps,and the tongs,[made he of] gold,[and] that perfectgold;22And the snuffers,and the basons,and the spoons,and the censers,[of] puregold:and the entryof the house,the innerdoorsthereof for the mostholy[place], and the doorsof the houseof the temple,[were of] gold.
