The Temple Musicians

31And these [are they] whom Davidsetover the serviceof songin the houseof the LORD,after that the arkhad rest.32And they ministeredbeforethe dwellingplace of the tabernacleof the congregationwith singing,until Solomonhad builtthe houseof the LORDin Jerusalem:and [then] they waitedon their officeaccording to their order.33And these [are] they that waitedwith their children.Of the sonsof the Kohathites:Hemana singer,the sonof Joel,the sonof Shemuel,34The sonof Elkanah,the sonof Jeroham,the sonof Eliel,the sonof Toah,35The sonof Zuph,the sonof Elkanah,the sonof Mahath,the sonof Amasai,36The sonof Elkanah,the sonof Joel,the sonof Azariah,the sonof Zephaniah,37The sonof Tahath,the sonof Assir,the sonof Ebiasaph,the sonof Korah,38The sonof Izhar,the sonof Kohath,the sonof Levi,the sonof Israel.39And his brotherAsaph,who stoodon his right hand,[even] Asaphthe sonof Berachiah,the sonof Shimea,40The sonof Michael,the sonof Baaseiah,the sonof Malchiah,41The sonof Ethni,the sonof Zerah,the sonof Adaiah,42The sonof Ethan,the sonof Zimmah,the sonof Shimei,43The sonof Jahath,the sonof Gershom,the sonof Levi.44And their brethrenthe sonsof Merari[stood] on the left hand:Ethanthe sonof Kishi,the sonof Abdi,the sonof Malluch,45The sonof Hashabiah,the sonof Amaziah,the sonof Hilkiah,46The sonof Amzi,the sonof Bani,the sonof Shamer,47The sonof Mahli,the sonof Mushi,the sonof Merari,the sonof Levi.48Their brethrenalso the Levites[were] appointedunto all manner of serviceof the tabernacleof the houseof God.

Descendants of Aaron

49But Aaronand his sonsofferedupon the altarof the burnt offering,and on the altarof incense,[and were appointed] for all the workof the [place] mostholy,and to make an atonementfor Israel,according to all that Mosesthe servantof Godhad commanded.50And these [are] the sonsof Aaron;Eleazarhis son,Phinehashis son,Abishuahis son,51Bukkihis son,Uzzihis son,Zerahiahhis son,52Meraiothhis son,Amariahhis son,Ahitubhis son,53Zadokhis son,Ahimaazhis son.

Territory for the Levites

54Now these [are] their dwelling placesthroughout their castlesin their coasts,of the sonsof Aaron,of the familiesof the Kohathites:for theirs was the lot.55And they gavethem Hebronin the landof Judah,and the suburbsthereof round aboutit.56But the fieldsof the city,and the villagesthereof, they gaveto Calebthe sonof Jephunneh.57And to the sonsof Aaronthey gavethe citiesof Judah, [namely], Hebron,[the city] of refuge,and Libnahwith her suburbs,and Jattir,and Eshtemoa,with their suburbs,58And Hilenwith her suburbs,Debirwith her suburbs,59And Ashanwith her suburbs,and Bethshemeshwith her suburbs:60And out of the tribeof Benjamin;Gebawith her suburbs,and Alemethwith her suburbs,and Anathothwith her suburbs.All their citiesthroughout their families[were] thirteencities.

61And unto the sonsof Kohath,[which were] leftof the familyof that tribe,[were cities given] out of the halftribe,[namely, out of] the half[tribe] of Manasseh,by lot,tencities.62And to the sonsof Gershomthroughout their familiesout of the tribeof Issachar,and out of the tribeof Asher,and out of the tribeof Naphtali,and out of the tribeof Manassehin Bashan,thirteencities.63Unto the sonsof Merari[were given] by lot,throughout their families,out of the tribeof Reuben,and out of the tribeof Gad,and out of the tribeof Zebulun,twelvecities.64And the childrenof Israelgaveto the Levites[these] citieswith their suburbs.65And they gaveby lotout of the tribeof the childrenof Judah,and out of the tribeof the childrenof Simeon,and out of the tribeof the childrenof Benjamin,these cities,which are calledby [their] names.

66And [the residue] of the familiesof the sonsof Kohathhad citiesof their coastsout of the tribeof Ephraim.67And they gaveunto them, [of] the citiesof refuge,Shechemin mountEphraimwith her suburbs;[they gave] also Gezerwith her suburbs,68And Jokmeamwith her suburbs,and Bethhoronwith her suburbs,69And Aijalonwith her suburbs,and Gathrimmonwith her suburbs:70And out of the halftribeof Manasseh;Anerwith her suburbs,and Bileamwith her suburbs,for the familyof the remnantof the sonsof Kohath.

71Unto the sonsof Gershom[were given] out of the familyof the halftribeof Manasseh,Golanin Bashanwith her suburbs,and Ashtarothwith her suburbs:72And out of the tribeof Issachar;Kedeshwith her suburbs,Daberathwith her suburbs,73And Ramothwith her suburbs,and Anemwith her suburbs:74And out of the tribeof Asher;Mashalwith her suburbs,and Abdonwith her suburbs,75And Hukokwith her suburbs,and Rehobwith her suburbs:76And out of the tribeof Naphtali;Kedeshin Galileewith her suburbs,and Hammonwith her suburbs,and Kirjathaimwith her suburbs.

77Unto the restof the childrenof Merari[were given] out of the tribeof Zebulun,Rimmonwith her suburbs,Taborwith her suburbs:78And on the other sideJordanby Jericho,on the east sideof Jordan,[were given them] out of the tribeof Reuben,Bezerin the wildernesswith her suburbs,and Jahzahwith her suburbs,79Kedemothalso with her suburbs,and Mephaathwith her suburbs:80And out of the tribeof Gad;Ramothin Gileadwith her suburbs,and Mahanaimwith her suburbs,81And Heshbonwith her suburbs,and Jazerwith her suburbs.
