Descendants of Gad 11And the childrenof Gaddweltover against them, in the landof Bashanunto Salchah:12Joelthe chief,and Shaphamthe next,and Jaanai,and Shaphatin Bashan.13And their brethrenof the houseof their fathers[were], Michael,and Meshullam,and Sheba,and Jorai,and Jachan,and Zia,and Heber,seven.14These [are] the childrenof Abihailthe sonof Huri,the sonof Jaroah,the sonof Gilead,the sonof Michael,the sonof Jeshishai,the sonof Jahdo,the sonof Buz;15Ahithe sonof Abdiel,the sonof Guni,chiefof the houseof their fathers.16And they dweltin Gileadin Bashan,and in her towns,and in all the suburbsof Sharon,upon their borders.17All these were reckoned by genealogiesin the daysof Jothamkingof Judah,and in the daysof Jeroboamkingof Israel. Victory over the Hagarites 18The sonsof Reuben,and the Gadites,and halfthe tribeof Manasseh,of valiant men,menable to bearbucklerand sword,and to shootwith bow,and skilfulin war,[were] fourand fortythousandsevenhundredand threescore,that went outto the war.19And they madewarwith the Hagarites,with Jetur,and Nephish,and Nodab.20And they were helpedagainst them, and the Hagariteswere deliveredinto their hand,and all that [were] with them: for they criedto Godin the battle,and he was intreatedof them; because they put their trustin him.21And they took awaytheir cattle;of their camelsfiftythousand,and of sheeptwo hundredand fiftythousand,and of assestwo thousand,and of menan hundredthousand.22For there felldown manyslain,because the war[was] of God.And they dweltin their steads until the captivity.
