1Now the childrenof Israelafter their number,[to wit], the chieffathersand captainsof thousandsand hundreds,and their officersthat servedthe kingin any matterof the courses,which came inand went outmonthby monththroughout all the monthsof the year,of everycourse[were] twentyand fourthousand.
2Over the firstcoursefor the firstmonth[was] Jashobeamthe sonof Zabdiel:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.3Of the childrenof Perez[was] the chiefof all the captainsof the hostfor the firstmonth.4And over the courseof the secondmonth[was] Dodaian Ahohite,and of his course[was] Miklothalso the ruler:in his courselikewise [were] twentyand fourthousand.5The thirdcaptainof the hostfor the thirdmonth[was] Benaiahthe sonof Jehoiada,a chiefpriest:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.6This [is that] Benaiah,[who was] mighty[among] the thirty,and above the thirty:and in his course[was] Ammizabadhis son.7The fourth[captain] for the fourthmonth[was] Asahelthe brotherof Joab,and Zebadiahhis sonafterhim: and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.8The fifthcaptainfor the fifthmonth[was] Shamhuththe Izrahite:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.9The sixth[captain] for the sixthmonth[was] Irathe sonof Ikkeshthe Tekoite:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.10The seventh[captain] for the seventhmonth[was] Helezthe Pelonite,of the childrenof Ephraim:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.11The eighth[captain] for the eighthmonth[was] Sibbecaithe Hushathite,of the Zarhites:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.12The ninth[captain] for the ninthmonth[was] Abiezerthe Anetothite,of the Benjamites:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.13The tenth[captain] for the tenthmonth[was] Maharaithe Netophathite,of the Zarhites:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.14The eleventh[captain] for the eleventhmonth[was] Benaiahthe Pirathonite,of the childrenof Ephraim:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.15The twelfth[captain] for the twelfthmonth[was] Heldaithe Netophathite,of Othniel:and in his course[were] twentyand fourthousand.
