Call now if there is one who answers you, and to whom of the holy ones will you turn?
Because passion kills a stupid man and anger kills a fool
I have seen the wicked who prospers and his dwelling is suddenly destroyed
His sons will be far from redemption and they will be humbled at the gate, and there is none who redeems them
What he reaps a famine will consume, and they will be poured out for thirst, and the thirsty break their possessions into pieces
Because falsehood does not come out from the dust, neither does evil spring forth from the ground
Because a son of man is born to trouble, and the offspring of birds to lift up wings
However, I shall seek for God, and to God I shall put my word
Who does great things without limit and wonders without number
Who gives rain on the face of the Earth and sends waters on the face of the streets
To put the humble in high place and the meek will be strengthened with redemption
He brings the ideas of the wise to nothing that their hands will not perform a scheme
He seizes wise men in their philosophy and the thinking of the crafty he brings to nothing
By day they will grope as when in darkness, and they will grope at noonday as at night
He saves the poor from the sword of their mouth and from the hand of the mighty
And the poor will have hope and the evil one will shut his mouth
His blessing to a man whom God reproves and the discipline of The Almighty let him not reject
Because he breaks and binds up and he strikes and his hands heal
In six troubles he will save you, and in the seventh evil will not approach to you
In famine he will save you from death, and in war from the hands of the sword
From the rod of the tongue you shall be sheltered, and you will not be afraid of ruin when it comes
Against looting and against famine you will laugh, and of animals of the field you will not be afraid
Because your covenant is with the stones of the wilderness, and the animal of the field is handed over to you
And you will know that your tent is secure and you will return to your dwelling and you will not sin
And you will know that your seed is abundant and your offspring as grass of the Earth
And you will enter the tomb gently, as a shock of corn comes up in its time
This we searched and thus it is that we heard it, and know for yourself
