2 Chronicles 22:9Then Jehu looked for Ahaziah, and Jehu’s soldiers captured him while he was hiding in Samaria. So Ahaziah was brought to Jehu and put to death. They buried him, for they said, “He is the grandson of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart.” So no one was left from the house of Ahaziah with the strength to rule the kingdom.
2 Chronicles 24:17-19After the death of Jehoiada, however, the officials of Judah came and paid homage to the king, and he listened to them. / They abandoned the house of the LORD, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherah poles and idols. So wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs. / Nevertheless, the LORD sent prophets to bring the people back to Him and to testify against them, but they would not listen.
