On April 3, 2023, Legendary Entertainment announced that they acquired the film and TV rights to the Street Fighter franchise.On April 3, 2023 Danny and Michael Philippou in talks to direct the film but on June 18, 2024, the brothers dropped out of the movie due of their working schedule on their next movie Bring Her Back. The film will be distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing on March 20, 2026.
