Windows 11 2025 Update (version 25H2) is the latest feature update forWindows 11, succeeding the2024 Update. It was officially announced on 27 June 2025 with the release ofWindows 11 build 26200.5670 to theWindows Insider Program.[1] Since the 2024 update and this update share the same source code, with only the additional features turned on, this update includes changes disabled on feature level,[2] and updates based on this release also pushed for LTSC releases, but disabled in feature level and without build number change. It was released for general availability on 30 September 2025.[3]
A pre-release update was unintentionally pushed to devices running Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024, but unlike previous deployment failures, this update can be downloaded and installed.[4]
Despite having the Beta branch confirmed as version 25H2, unlike previous Windows 11 versions, this version is the only one that was released directly to the Release Preview Channel instead of being published from the Dev Channel to the Beta Channelge_release_svc_betaflt.[5]
