Zoie Saunders
Zoie Saunders is theVermont Secretary of Education. She assumed office on April 30, 2024.
GovernorPhil Scott (R) appointed Saunders as interimVermont Secretary of Education in March 2024 to replace Acting SecretaryHeather Bouchey.[1] She was later appointed as permanent secretary, effective November 26, 2024.[2]
Biography
Prior to her appointment, Saunders worked as the chief strategy and innovation officer forBroward County Public Schools, Florida. She previously worked as the chief education officer forFort Lauderdale, Florida.[3]
