William E. Doyle (Colorado)
William Edward Doyle (1911-1986) was afederal judge for theUnited States District Court for the District of Colorado and theUnited States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.[1]

Judicial career
Tenth Circuit
Doyle was nominated by PresidentRichard Nixon on March 25, 1971, to a seat vacated by JudgeAlfred Murrah. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 21, 1971, and received commission onApril 26, 1971. He assumedsenior status onDecember 28, 1984. He served the Tenth Circuit until his death onMay 2, 1986.[1]
District of Colorado
Doyle was nominated by PresidentJohn F. Kennedy on September 14, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80. He was confirmed by the Senate on September 21, 1961, and received his commission onSeptember 22nd. He served the District of Colorado until he was elevated to the Tenth Circuit onMay 17, 1971.[1] Doyle was succeeded in this position by JudgeSherman Finesilver.
