William Browning
William Docker Browning (1931-2008) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the District of Arizona.
Browning was nominated by PresidentRonald Reagan on April 4, 1984, to a seat vacated byMary Richey; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 24, 1984, and received commission onMay 3, 1984. From 1990-1994, he served as thechief judge. He assumedsenior status onMay 14, 1998. He served the District of Arizona until his death onFebruary 26, 2008.[1] Browning was succeeded in this position byRaner Collins.
