Walter Skinner
Walter Jay Skinner (1927-2005) was afederal judge for theUnited States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He joined the court in 1973 after an appointment fromRichard Nixon. At the time of appointment he was a private practice attorney in Boston, MA. He assumedsenior status onSeptember 14, 1992, and served until his death onMay 8, 2005.[1]

PresidentRichard M. Nixon nominated Skinner on October 10, 1973, to a seat vacated byAnthony Julian; he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on December 14, 1973, and received commission onDecember 19. He assumedsenior status onSeptember 14, 1992, and served until his death onMay 8, 2005. Skinner was succeeded in this position byPatti Saris.[1]
