Biography

Ty Masterson was born inEl Dorado, Kansas, and, as of February 2020, lived inAndover, Kansas. He attended Kansas State University. Masterson’s career experience includes working as a realtor and a small business owner. He has been elected to serve as a member of the Andover City Council and as a member of theKansas House of Representatives District 99.[1]

Masterson ran for re-election in the2012 election forKansas State Senate District 16. Masterson was unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]

On November 4, 2008, Masterson was elected to the 16th District Seat in theKansas State Senate, defeating Peter DeVries (D).[8] In 2008 Masterson raised $90,902 for his campaign, while DeVries raised $62,579.[9]
