Howell is an America & WV First, grassroots activist. Tresa is a college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Charleston in 1998. Experience consists of working in critical care, outpatient surgery, community health, as well as serving in management positions. Tresa served, a full term from July 2018 to July 2022, as the Chairwoman of the Kanawha County Republican Executive Committee and remains an actively involved member of the committee. Tresa was selected by the Donald J. Trump for President campaign to serve as a Delegate to the 2020 Republican National Convention.

  • Expanding business and the economy are a priority. Tresa advocates for tax cuts, as well as creating tax credits and incentives for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Tresa is a strong advocate for higher education and vocational programs. Howell advocates for expanding the trade programs, as well as creating entrepreneur programs and internships.
  • Howell advocates for supporting our seniors by reducing and eliminating their tax burden. Tresa also advocates for investing in programs for veterans.
  • Preserving freedom and individual liberty
Economic development and tourism, election integrity, infrastructure, workforce development, immigration and homeland security. Other areas are of interest as well to promote the overall wellbeing of communities in the 52nd district.
I look up to my sibling, Martha. She has lead by example while providing a pathway to success demonstrating perseverance and determination.
Integrity, critical thinking, communication skills, leadership, and a strong work ethic are some of the characteristics most important for an elected official.
I am an America & WV First, grassroots activist, dedicated to promoting West Virginia values of hard work, faith, family, and freedom. I have demonstrated strong leadership skills, have the ability to communicate effectively and think critically.
The core responsibilities for a public servant includes representing and serving the interests of their constituents, making well-informed decisions on behalf of their community, promoting transparency, working towards the betterment of society, and actively engaging with the public to address their concerns and needs.
I would like to leave a legacy of involvement for the betterment of our communities, kindness, determination and perseverance.
The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster was the first historical event that happened in my lifetime that I recall. I was approximately 14 years old.
My very first job was working for a local restaurant when I was 16 years old. I held the position for a week and was injured. After a short recovery, I worked for a local store, in which I held this position during my high school years.
I have several books I like. I would have to say the Bible is my favorite, as one always goes back to it and learns each time it is opened.
A struggle in life was navigating the entrance of college as a first-generation attendee.
The relationship between the governor and legislature is characterized by collaboration and communication. The ultimate goal is to serve the best interests of the state and its citizens. A cooperative relationship is necessary for effective governance and the successful implementation of policies.
The greatest challenges will be work force development and the drug crisis.
No, I do not believe that it is necessary for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics. The benefits would be having the experience with the process.
Yes, it is beneficial to build relationships with other legislators in order to collaborate for an effective government for the state.
No there is not a particular legislator, past or present I want to model myself after.
At this time, I am not interested in running for a different political office. My focus is on the 52nd House District.
I have not had one particular, as there have been many stemming from the drug crisis, caring for children of those battling addiction, the availability of jobs and several of areas of concern.
I do not have one.
Yes, the legislature should oversee or grant the use of emergency powers.

Economic development and tourism, energy and manufacturing, judiciary, technology and infrastructure and workforce development. All committees interest me however, I believe this would be a strong start.
Transparency and accountability help ensure that public servants are held responsible for their decisions, and that taxpayer funds are used efficiently. This allows citizens to understand how their money is being managed and spent. Accountability comes in the form of audits and whistleblower protections to prevent corruption. Promoting good governance is imperative.
