Thomas Murphree
Thomas Alexander Murphree (1883-1945) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
He was nominated by PresidentFranklin D. Roosevelt on May 12, 1938, to a seat created by 52 Stat. 120. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 17th, and received commission onMay 31st. He served until his death onSeptember 5, 1945. Murphree was succeeded in this position bySeybourn Lynne.
