Scorecards

See also:State legislative scorecards andState legislative scorecards in Indiana

Ascorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

In 2017, the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission filed a formal attorney discipline complaint against Glick for mishandling 22 real estate cases as part of her legal practice. In July 2017, theIndiana Supreme Court ruled that Glick would not be suspended from practicing law if she met certain conditions including serving two years of probation and closing some of the old real estate cases within the probationary period. Glick issued the following statement:[10]

Attorneys strive to adhere to a strict code in the practice of law. I am disappointed that I failed to live up to the high professional standards which I have always tried to maintain in over thirty-nine years of practicing law. I have cooperated fully with the Disciplinary Commission to resolve this matter, and I deeply regret the inconvenience to my clients and any embarrassment to my fellow practitioners and the members of the legal profession.
