Biography
Stan Gerdes was born inTexas, and lives inSmithville. Gerdes earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas. His career experience includes working forRick Perry (R) during Perry's tenure as governor of Texas and then as U.S. secretary of energy. Gerdes became a member of theNational Rifle Association (NRA). He served on the Smithville City Council.[1]
