Crippen is a retired high school teacher. He taught in theLake Elsinore Unified School District for 33 years and now works as an educational consultant. Crippen's six children and six grandchildren attended schools in the district.[4][5]

This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. IncumbentsStan Crippen,Heidi Matthies Dodd andTom Thomas from Trustee Areas 1, 3 and 5, respectively, were re-election by default.[6]

Funding

Crippen filed Form 470 with theRiverside County Registrar of Voters, indicating he did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for his 2014 campaign. Because of this, Crippen did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[7]
