February 17, 2026: The median age of U.S. senators at the start of the 119th Congress was 64. The median age of U.S. representatives was 57. At the beginning of the 119th Congress in the House of Representatives, the oldest Representative was Hal Rodgers (R-Ky.), at 87 years old. The youngest was Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D-Fla.) at 27. As for the Senate, Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) was the oldest at 91. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) was the youngest at 37.
