Robert Wodrow Archbald
Robert Wodrow Archbald (1848-1926) was afederal judge on theUnited States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, theUnited States Commerce Court, and theUnited States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Judicial career
Third Circuit and Commerce Court
Archbald was nominated by PresidentWilliam Howard Taft on December 12, 1910 to a new seat authorized by 36 Stat. 539. He was confirmed by the Senate onJanuary 31, 1911, and received commission that same day. He was impeached and convicted onJanuary 13, 1913.[1]
Middle District of Pennsylvania
Archbald received arecess appointment from PresidentWilliam McKinley on March 29, 1901 and was nominated on December 5th to a new seat authorized by 31 Stat. 880. He was confirmed by the Senate onDecember 17, 1901, and received commission that same day. He served on this court untilFebruary 1, 1911. Archbald was succeeded in this position byCharles Witmer.
