Robert Tehan
Robert Emmet Tehan (1905-1975) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.[1]
Tehan was nominated by PresidentHarry Truman on April 5, 1949, to a seat vacated byFrancis Duffy; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 17, 1949, and received his commission onMay 19, 1949. From 1954-1971, he served as thechief judge. He assumedsenior status onJune 30, 1971. He served the Eastern District of Wisconsin until his death onNovember 27, 1975.[1] Tehan was succeeded in this position byRobert Warren.
