Jasperse's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[13]
Water
- Excerpt: "Water is a critical issue in our state. I will work with the Regional water council’s as they work to develop long-term solutions to our water supply problem."
2nd Amendment
- Excerpt: "As a candidate for the 12th district one of the most common questions I am asked is my position on our Second Amendment."
Taxes & Spending
- Excerpt: "Some politicians seem to forget that every dollar government spends was first earned by one of us. When times are good and revenues are high, they spend like there is no tomorrow. That is exactly what happened here in Georgia when state government spending grew much faster than our population."
Jobs
- Excerpt: "Our region is a natural magnet for job creation because of our location and hard-working people. The majority of our jobs come from locally owned small businesses. Better job opportunities will come when Georgia encourages entrepreneurs to create and grow small businesses."
Education
- Excerpt: " We are all aware that our children and adults must have access to quality education if they are going to be able to master those skills and knowledge they need to compete and excel in our ever-changing world."

Scorecards
Ascorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
