Richard Vollmer
Richard Vollmer (b. 1927) is a senior statusfederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.
Judge Vollmer was nominated by PresidentGeorge H.W. Bush on March 30, 1990, to a seat vacated byWilliam Hand. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 11th, and received commission onMay 14th. He assumedsenior status onDecember 31, 2000. Vollmer was succeeded in this position byWilliam Steele.
