Richard Freeman
Richard Cameron Freeman (1926-1999) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Freeman was nominated by PresidentRichard Nixon on March 3, 1971, to a new seat created by 84 Stat. 294; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 21, 1971, and received commissiontwo days later. He assumedsenior status onDecember 31, 1991, and served in that capacity until his death onAugust 22, 1999. Freeman was succeeded in this position byClarence Cooper.
