- I believe in government that supports everyone’s right to be themselves, provides opportunities which enables individuals to maximize their full potential, and allows them to choose their own destiny.
- Political debate has increasingly become too divisive and mean-spirited. Now is the time to put politics aside and begin working to meet the needs of the people. “We can disagree without being disagreeable.” It’s all about putting people over politics!
- Quality public education is the foundation on which democracy is built. Without it, citizens cannot fully participate in the process of self governance. I will work to establish policies that foster critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and practical skills for meaningful civic engagement and employment in a constantly changing economy.

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1. Property tax relief2. Education funding3. Gun safety
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Quality education is the only means to move individuals and society forward. No child in New Hampshire should be "left behind" because of inadequate funding in their respective school districts. Equitable K- 12 public education as well as affordable and expanded community and state colleges is a priority. I will work to establish policies that foster critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and practical skills for meaningful employment in a constantly changing economy.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
As the New Hampshire Teacher of the Year 2000, retired social studies teacher and department head, Milford resident for 31 years, and long-time community activist, I have dedicated myself to my family, students, and neighbors. I will bringing the same commitment to the state legislature on behalf of our common values.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Political debate has increasingly become too divisive and mean-spirited. Now is the time to put politics aside and begin working to meet the needs of the people. We can disagree without being disagreeable. I believe in open-minded, honest discussion. I will not support or dismiss an idea because it was proposed by any one party without careful consideration. We must always ask, "Is this good for New Hampshire?"
What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?
New Hampshire's property taxes are the third highest in the nation and have been rising faster than the rate of inflation. The problem, in part, is due to the downshifting of costs from the state to the towns. People on fixed incomes are being priced out of their homes. Likewise, New Hampshire has the nation's second highest state college tuition and the lowest minimum wage in New England. Young people are leaving the state for better opportunities elsewhere. Consequently the state population is aging and there is limited potential for economic growth and revenue to meet many of the state's needs.

Scorecards
Ascorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
