Paul Rosenblatt
Paul Gerhardt Rosenblatt was afederal judge for theUnited States District Court for the District of Arizona. He joined the court in 1984 after being nominated by PresidentRonald Reagan. Rosenblatt began serving onsenior status in 2003. He died on October 6, 2019.[1][2]
Early life and education
A native Arizonan, Rosenblatt graduated from the University of Arizona with his bachelor's degree in 1958 and hisJ.D. degree in 1963.[1]
Professional career
Rosenblatt started his legal career as anAssistant Arizona Attorney General from 1963 to 1966 before becoming an Administrative Assistant to Congressman Sam Steiger from 1967 to 1972. Rosenblatt was in private practice in the State ofArizona from 1971 to 1973 before becoming the presiding judge of theYavapai County Superior Court from 1973 to 1984.[1]
Judicial career
District of Arizona
On the recommendation of Senator Goldwater, Rosenblatt was nominated to theUnited States District Court for the District of Arizona by PresidentRonald Reagan on May 15, 1984, to a seat vacated byWilliam Copple. Rosenblatt was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on June 8, 1984, and received commission onJune 11, 1984. Rosenblatt assumedsenior status onOctober 30, 2003.[1] Rosenblatt was succeeded in this position byNeil Wake.
