Paul Ramon Matia (1937-present) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Matia was nominated by PresidentGeorge H.W. Bush on June 27, 1991, to a new seat created by 104 Stat. 5089; he was confirmed by the Senate on November 15, 1991, and received commissionthree days later. He served aschief judge from 1999 until he assumedsenior status onDecember 31, 2004. He retired onMay 31, 2005.[1] Matia was succeeded in this position byChristopher Boyko.
