Odell Horton (1929-2006) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.

Horton was nominated by PresidentJimmy Carter on February 27, 1980, to a seat vacated byBailey Brown; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 9, 1980, and received commissionthree days later. he served aschief judge from 1987-1994. He assumedsenior status onMay 16, 1995, and served in that capacity until his death onFebruary 22, 2006.[1] Horton was succeeded in this position byBernice Donald.
