TheNorth Carolina attorney general election took place onNovember 6, 2012. Election day polling hours were from 6 am until 6 pm.
IncumbentRoy Cooper(D) was the only candidate to enter the race by the state's February 29 filing deadline. He was unopposed in both the primary and general elections.
Cooper was first elected to the office in 2000 and won his fourth consecutive term in 2012.
