Natalie Murdock (Democratic Party) is a member of theNorth Carolina State Senate, representingDistrict 20. She assumed office on April 1, 2020. Her current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Murdock (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to theNorth Carolina State Senate to representDistrict 20. The Democratic primary for this office onMarch 3, 2026, was canceled.
Gov.Roy Cooper appointed Murdock to the North Carolina State Senate on April 1, 2020, effective on that day.[1] Murdock replacedHenry Michaux, Jr., who had been temporarily appointed to represent the district afterFloyd McKissick resigned in January 2020.[2]
Biography
In addition to her political career, Murdock founded a public relations and communications consulting firm. Her professional experience also includes working as the deputy director of communications at the North Carolina Department of Justice and the traveling press secretary for theDeborah Ross for Senate campaign. Murdock received her B.A. in political science and communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[3]
