Morgan Welles Brown
Morgan Welles Brown (1800-1853) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
He was nominated by PresidentAndrew Jackson on December 18, 1833. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 31, 1833, and received commission onJanuary 3, 1834. He served until his death onMarch 7, 1853.
OnJune 18, 1839, he was also assigned toUnited States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, where he served until his death.[1] Brown was succeeded in this position byWest Hughes Humphreys.
