Yener ran for election to theRamsey County Board of Commissioners to representDistrict 7 in Minnesota. She lost in the primary onAugust 13, 2024.
Biography
Michelle Yener earned a high school diploma from St. Agnes. Yener earned a graduate degree from the University of Minnesota - Duluth and a graduate degree in education from Saint Mary's University. Her career experience includes working as the Associate Director for Curriculum in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, an education data and quality assurance analyst with Capella University, an education and training manager with Hmong American Partnership, a school program administrator with Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, and an English language instructor with Isik University in Sile, Turkey.
She has been affiliated with theMinnesota Department of Education's Online & Digital Learning Advisory Council and the North-St. Paul - Maplewood - Oakdale Schoolboard.[1][2]
