Biography
Michael Meredith, as of February 2020, lived inOakland, Kentucky. He earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Western Kentucky University. Meredith’s career experience includes working as a loan officer with the Bank of Edmonson County. He has also been a member of the Edmonson County Lions Club.[1]

Noteworthy events
Removal as committee chair following sexual harassment settlement (2017)
In November 2017, it was reported by theCourier-Journal and theLexington Herald-Leader that Meredith, Speaker of the HouseJeffrey Hoover (R), and State Reps.Brian E. Linder (R) andJim DeCesare (R) were involved in a settlement related to sexual harassment. All three representatives were temporarily removed from their positions as committee chairmen and Hoover resigned as house Speaker.[12]
