Matthew McGuire
Matthew Francis McGuire (1898-1986) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the District of Columbia.
McGuire was nominated by PresidentFranklin Delano Roosevelt on July 14, 1941, to a seat vacated byPeyton Gordon; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 29, 1941, and received commission onAugust 1. He served aschief judge from 1961 until he assumedsenior status onOctober 7, 1966. He served until his death onJanuary 24, 1986.[1]
