Louisiana Repeal First Use Tax Fund Amendment (1982)
TheLouisiana Repeal First Use Tax Fund Amendment, also known asAmendment 6, was on the ballot inLouisiana onSeptember 11, 1982, as alegislatively referred constitutional amendment. It wasdefeated. It proposed to repeal Section 9 of Article IX of the constitution which established the First Use Tax Trust Fund. This action would give the state more leeway in using the taxes derived from gas that originated on the outer continental shelf.[1][2]
