Louisiana Eliminate Deduction of Federal Tax Paid Amendment (1984)
TheLouisiana Eliminate Deduction of Federal Tax Paid Amendment, also known asAmendment 3, was on the ballot inLouisiana onNovember 6, 1984, as alegislatively referred constitutional amendment. It wasdefeated. This measure proposed that corporations could not deduct federal income taxes paid when calculating their state income tax. It proposed that this deduction be replaced by a legislatively determined deduction with a minimum amount of $1,000.[1]
