Lisa Hicks-Clayton
Lisa Hicks-Clayton was a2014Democratic candidate forDistrict 11 of theMichigan House of Representatives.[1]
Hicks-Clayton was elected to the Dearborn Heights City Council in 2011. She has sponsored legislation including a vicious dog ordinance, tethering-Ban and fracking ordinance. She has served on the Disability Commission, the Commission on Aging and the Greater Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee. Hicks-Clayton has been a member of the following: Southeast Council of Government Task Forces; Local Revenue, Re-development of Business Corridors, Green Infrastructure and the Legislative Platform Task Force.
Biography
Hicks-Clayton's professional experience includes serving on the Livonia YMCA Board of Directors, the American Red Cross Board, and as Mayor of Ft. Ord (Army) installation. She received the National Honor Society’s Community Award.[2]

Thesignature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014.Julie Plawecki defeated seven other candidates in the Democratic primary.Jim Rhoades defeatedDavid Malhalab in the Republican primary. Plawecki defeated Rhoades in the general election.[3][4][1][5]
