Lawrence M. Baskir was afederal judge for theUnited States Court of Federal Claims. He joined the court in 1998 after being nominated by PresidentBill Clinton. Baskir served as theChief Judge of the Court from 2000 to 2002.[1] He retired from the court onApril 1, 2013.[2]

Early life and education

Baskir earned his A.B. from Princeton graduating magna cum laude in 1959. He went on to earn an LL.B. from Harvard in 1962.[1]

Federal Claims

Baskir was nominated to theUnited States Court of Federal Claims by PresidentBill Clinton and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate and began duty on October 22, 1998.[1]
