Lamar Cecil
Lamar John Ryan Cecil (1902-1958) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
Cecil received arecess appointment from PresidentDwight Eisenhower to the Eastern District of Texas on August 31, 1954, to a new seat created by 68 Stat. 8; nominated on November 8, 1954; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 2, 1954, and received his commission onDecember 3rd. He served the Eastern District of Texas until his death onFebruary 14, 1958.[1]
