TheLabor and Commerce Committee is astanding committee of theVirginia House of Delegates.

Per the House Rules, committees of theVirginia House of Delegates are assigned by theSpeaker of the House. The Speaker also appoints each committee chair and vice-chair. No member may serve as chair or vice-chair on more than one committee except for the Speaker, who automatically serves as theHouse Rules Committee chair. Each committee is apportioned based on the proportion of majority and minority party members in the House.[1][2] A majority of appointed members constitutes a quorum.[3]
