Kristi Davis was appointed to the court by GovernorBill Lee (R) on May 28, 2020, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement ofCharles Susano.[1] She was sworn into office on the court on August 3, 2020.[2]

Prior to joining the appellate court, Davis was a judge on theSixth Circuit Court, which presides overKnox County inTennessee.[3] She was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1.[4] Davis resigned from the circuit court on July 31, 2020, in order to assume office on theTennessee Court of Appeals.[5]

Biography

Davis received both her undergraduate degree andJ.D. from the University of Tennessee.[6] Before her election to the circuit court in 2014, Davis was a partner at the law firm ofHodges, Doughty & Carson in Knoxville,Tennessee. She specialized in civil litigation.[6]
