I am a single mother to one beautiful little girl. (Dolly) Born and raised in Pickens Co GA. Currently living in the beautiful town of Talking Rock. I love my community and strive to make it a better place, not just for us but for our children and grandchildren to have a place they are happy to call home.
I am passionate about protecting our climate, protecting a woman's right to choose. I am also a Pro-gun Democrat who believes in more common sense gun safety. I believe in diversity among all people and that they be treated equally, as well as Affordable healthcare for ALL.
My mother. She was also a single mother and a strong, independent woman.
I think most importantly you have to be honest and transparent. Your constituents put 100% of their trust in you and we should hold that dear to our hearts. Also the fact that we have a platform to speak on and way to help others. You need to be ambitious, understanding and empathetic.
I believe I would be a successful office holder because I have balance and I am a peacemaker. I believe in order to be a good leader you have to focus on commonality and develop a friendship first. I believe I can get more accomplished at the capital for my constituents when I bring my teamwork and my bipartisanship to the table. We are a team. I am ready to "Bridge the Gap" at the Capitol with my Republican colleagues.
To design, draft and vote on bills and laws to govern each state. To perform a lawmaking function by researching, writing and passing legislation. We represent our district and work to meet request for help from the citizens within.
I would more than anything like to leave a legacy of Love, honesty and fairness.
I would have to say September 11, twin towers. I was in 6th Grade at the time, so I was about 12 years old.
My very first job was at the Jasper Family Steakhouse in Jasper Ga. I worked there until they shut the doors. Just a few months.
"The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren
This is my favorite book because it truly open my heart and my eyes to see a path for my life that I did not see before. A divine path and it made me realize my true "purpose".
"Lauren Daigle" ~"I'm Loosing my Religion"
One particular struggle in my life has been the feeling of "rejection" Whether at the workplace or not, when I speak out as a strong woman I often feel rejected. I realize all those rejections have only led me to the path that I am on now and I would not change a thing! I Thank God for that.
I think it takes Balance to make things work smoothly and for EVERYONE. We need both branches to insure fairness and bipartisanship.
No, not at all. I think it takes passion, heart and soul. The rest can be taught.
I see our greatest challenges to be
  • Affordable Healthcare for ALL.
  • Protecting our Climate
  • Term Limits
  • Local economic growth
The ideal relationship would be having a personal way to contact the Governor in case of Legislative emergencies..being able to find common ground and work on issues as a team. Communication is key.
I think it's not just beneficial but needed in order to grow and get more accomplished. We are a team and there is no "I" in team.
I am certainly interested in being involved in other committees. I would like to be a good influence in more ways than one.
I have heard many personal stories..particularly those with drug addiction, healthcare issues and "A woman's right to choose" stories. I am very passionate about all the above.
