TheKansas Legislative Reapportionment, Amendment 2, also known asAmendment 2, was on the ballot inKansas onAugust 6, 1974, as alegislatively referred constitutional amendment. It wasapproved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 10, Section 1. The amendment proposed that, beginning with the 1979 regular session and every 10 years thereafter, the legislature shall reapportion the congressional districts. The attorney general must seek the approval of the state Supreme Court for reapportionment.[1]
