Joseph Winston Cox
Joseph Winston Cox (1875-1939) was an associate justice on theUnited States District Court for the District of Columbia.
He was nominated by PresidentHerbert Hoover on June 23, 1930 to a seat created by 46 Stat. 785. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 1st of that year, and received commissionJuly 7th. He served on this court until his death onSeptember 9, 1939.[1]
