John Warthen Holland (1883-1969) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

He was nominated by PresidentFranklin Delano Roosevelt on May 26, 1936 to replaceHalsted Lockwood Ritter. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 30th, and received commission onJune 1st. From 1950 to 1955, he was thechief judge. OnJuly 1, 1955, he assumedsenior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death onNovember 14, 1969.
