John R. Fisher is a judge onsenior status with theDistrict of Columbia Court of Appeals. PresidentGeorge W. Bush (R) appointed Fisher to the court in 2005.[1] Fisher retired from the court on August 22, 2020, and assumed senior status the following day.[1][2]

Fisher received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College in 1968 and hisJ.D. from Harvard Law School in 1974.[1]
