John Hannum
John Berne Hannum (1915-2007) was afederal judge on theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a judge on thePennsylvania Superior Court.
Hannum was appointed by PresidentRichard Nixon on March 24, 1969, to a seat vacated byFrancis Van Dusen; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 5, 1969, and received commission thenext day. He assumedsenior status onMay 29, 1984, and served in that capacity until his death onApril 23, 2007.[1] Hannum was succeeded in this position byAnthony Scirica.
